What is a good poem about neglect?

Ok for my English paper my topic was about how people are so focused on improving their lives that they never enjoy the life they are currently living. I need a poem and a song to exemplify my thesis. For the song I already have Beautiful Boy by John Lennon where he says, "Life is what happens to you, while you are busy making other plans." Now I need a good poem for this. Can someone throw out some suggestions please
