How should I set up my Subwoofer and Amp?

I have a 300w JL 10w0v2-4 in a medium size ported box. I have a 400w/150w rms bridged DUAL amp. What Gain and Freq setting should I use to make sure I dont blow sub but I want it to sound as good as possible
